Functional Learning & Support Profiles (Educational Pre-Assessment)
Clear insight into how your child learns with practical support for home and school.

If your child is struggling with reading, spelling, writing, attention, maths, confidence, or school anxiety, it can be difficult to know what to do next, especially if you’re waiting on assessments or support pathways.

A Functional Learning & Support Profile is an educational, non-diagnostic pre-assessment designed to build a clear picture of your child’s learning strengths and needs and to provide practical next steps that can be used at home and shared with school.
Waiting for assessment?
Many families are on long waiting lists for formal diagnostic assessments.
An Educational Pre-Assessment also known as a Functional Learning & Support Profile provides practical educational insight and recommendations so supports can be put in place now, while you wait.

This is not diagnostic — it is designed to guide support, strengthen home–school communication, and provide clear next steps.

F.A.Q
Do you diagnose dyslexia/ADHD/autism?
No. This is an educational, non-diagnostic profile. It provides practical insight and learning recommendations and may guide decision-making around whether further assessment is needed.

Will the school accept this?
Schools often find the recommendations very useful for support planning. While it does not provide a diagnosis, it can support communication and clarify learning needs in a practical and structured way.

Does my child need to be anxious-free to take part?
Not at all. The process is calm, supportive and paced to suit the learner. Anxiety and confidence are always considered as part of the learning picture.

How long does it take?
Typically 1–2 weeks depending on appointment availability and how quickly background information is returned.

Do I need input from school?
It’s helpful where possible, but not essential. We can proceed using parent consultation and work samples if needed.

Can we do tutoring without this assessment?
Yes. Tutoring can be booked independently. Some families begin with tutoring and complete a Learning Profile later if more clarity is needed
